This is a diagram of the human heart. There are 2 main sides of the heart, the right and the left. The right part of the heart receives blood from the body and pumps it to the lungs to get oxygen. From the lungs, the blood goes to the left side of the heart. The left side of the heart then pumps the blood out to the rest of the body. The heart has valves inside that make sure that blood can only go one direction and cannot go backwards. The heart is made of muscle and to contract, it needs oxygen and nourishment as well. This is supplied by the arteries to the heart which supply blood to the heart. This is a diagram of the heart with the coronary arteries. There is a right coronary artery and a left coronary artery. The left coronary artery almost immediately divides into two big branches, the LAD and the circumflex. So the normal heart usually has 3 main vessels.
