What to Expect - Should you need heart surgery, your care will be coordinated by your cardiologist (specialist in the non-surgical treatment of heart disease). Dr. Tang, as a surgeon, would be responsible for seeing you before the operation to explain the nature of the operation and to answer any questions. He would also continue to see you after the operation both while you remain in the hospital and after you are discharged. After discharge from the hospital, he would be available to answer any questions that you may have.
